NOTES ON FEES, PRIVACY ACT, REFERENCE & CREDIT CHECKS, DECLARATION

As the applicant I appoint Allen Realty Ltd (ARL) to find me a property to rent and agree to pay a fee of one week’s rent plus GST, and $10 plus GST per individual credit check fee on authorising a Tenancy Agreement arranged by ARL. I acknowledge that I have authorised and continue to authorise ARL to use all the information provided, or/and to make any inquiry of, or credit check of any third party or referee or any agency, as ARL in its entire discretion sees fit to make in connection with the granting of and/or at any time during the currency of any tenancy granted. I acknowledge that this form asks for personal information to be provided to ARL connected with the granting of a tenancy and I understand that should a tenancy not be granted then the information will be destroyed by ARL. The applicant also agrees that ARL may use any of the information provided to enforce any tenancy tribunal judgement or order, or for all or any other matter involving the application or/and in regard to any future tenancy matter.
The applicant declares that the information provided is true and correct.
If/When a tenant is accepted for a tenancy, a Tenancy Agreement must be completed. A draft copy of Allen Realty’s current Tenancy Agreement can be supplied upon request.
With specific regard to credit reporting services: : I understand that I voluntarily provide my driver licence(s) number(s) and authorise ARL to provide that number(s) to credit reporting agencies. I understand that one or more credit reporting agencies will give you information about me for that purpose and that you will give my personal information to them, and that they will hold that information on their systems and use it to provide their credit reporting service. I also understand that when other credit reporting agency customers use their service, the credit reporting agencies may give information to those customers. If I default in my payment obligations to ARL information about that default may be given to credit reporting agencies and they may give that information also to other credit reporting agency customers.
